Mr. Weber made a funny!
Cameron left for Boy Scout camp this morning. He is going with his friend Jonah's troop. Cameron's troop is leaving for camp next Sunday (the 21st). The problem with Cameron going with his own troop is that he and Jonah will be leaving for confirmation camp on the 21st.
Some Boy Scout troops are laid back, some troops are militant. Cameron's troop is laid back. Jonah's is militant in regards to uniform policy adherence. There are 2 types of Scout uniforms... Class A is the formal scout shirt with the patches, proper pants/shorts, and proper socks. Class B is a scout polo or a camp t-shirt still wearing the proper pants/shorts and socks. Since Cameron is not a member of Jonah's troop, he does not have one of their Class B polo shirts. So he doesn't stand out wearing his green Class B from his troop, Jonah was kind enough to let Cameron borrow a couple of the polos that he has outgrown.
Mr. Weber told Cameron that he should look at it as a "pass for the week." He will be wearing a shirt that has "Jonah" embroidered on it. Chances are great that there will be only 1 Jonah at the camp. So, if Cameron does something wrong, Jonah will get blamed.
I wanted to get a picture of the boys. Mr. Weber jumped on board with that also. We snapped our pictures and then Mr. Weber exclaimed... "Look, it's the Jonah's Brothers!"
Mr. Weber and I cracked up. The boys didn't! What good are children if we can't make fun of them from time to time?!
