Some of you already know about the crash. Some of you may not know about it... yet. Thursday Christopher and his buddy (Zeke) were on 469 after it had rained. Christopher was driving too fast for road conditions, hydroplaned, hit the cement divider on the highway, and ultimately crossed the highway and ended up in the ditch. A lady witnessed the accident, called the police, and then she asked the boys if they were OK. Thank goodness they were both fine, just freaked out about getting in the accident. She told them that the police were on the way, and then she left. The car is a total loss. It was a 2000 Saturn LS1 so it did not take much damage to get to the car's value.
For now, Christopher will be riding a bike, and possibly learning the Fort Wayne Citilink routes. There is a bus stop 2 miles from our house. They all have bike racks on the front. He can ride his bike to the bus stop and then put the bike on the front of the bus. If he doesn't want to ride the bus, he can just ride the bike or walk. Walking was good enough for Jesus, so it is not above Christopher. He did 10 mile hikes as a Scout, he can do it again.
