Ok. So I have not been good about keeping the blog updated. Please accept my apologies.
Now, let me get you all updated. Christmas Eve Todd worked. He went to work at 11 PM Christmas Eve and got home around 8:30 Christmas morning. Emma was unbelievably patient. She, Cameron, and Pher did open their stockings before Daddy got home, but no one touched the gifts under or around the tree.
Once Daddy came home and took off his coat, insanity broke loose. Emma wanted to open her presents NOW. When all presents were open, we had sausage, eggs, and toast for breakfast. We then had an unusual journey. We ventured to Carmel, IN to be with my side of the family for Christmas Day. It was different. Todd and I talked about it. We have not spent a Christmas with my family since before Emma was born. That's at least 8 years. We usually make the trip to his Dad's and spend the day with his side of the family. This year Mom and Dad made the trip to Indy, and we all gathered at Matt and Miki's just north of Indianapolis. I thought Christmas with 1 child was FUN. Let me tell ya, Christmas with 4 girls that still believe in Santa and two 10-month old infants was FUN beyond belief!
My brother-in-law (DJ) commented that "It looks like Christmas puked in here!" Yuppers it did in fact look just like that in the family room.
